Dimitra is the founder and owner of the Studio. She has studied Social anthropology and holds a masters degree in the School of Architecture, while studying dance from a very young age. After a serious injury that forced her to leave her dance education, she came across the Pilates Method. This movement system alleviated her musculoskeletal pains and led her towards a more refined understanding of the body.
She owns a degree in Basi Pilates - an international system that while honouring the classical repertory of Joseph Pilates is also applying evidence-based and contemporary techniques towards a broader perception of the everyday movement patterns.
With 9 years of experience in group and personal classes, she has developed her unique style of teaching based on her deep knowledge of the body mechanics and long standing appreciation for movement.
Dimitra believes that every somatic practice taught with care and attention to the individual body can transform lives, helping us to build a unique relationship with ourselves and our everyday environments.
She is a certified BASI Pilates instructor and holds degrees in Interior Architecture and Dance.
Her relationship with movement began through dance and evolved through systematic study of body function. Her goal is to cultivate a practice that combines technical precision with physical empowerment.
Her training in the BASI Pilates method is based on internationally recognized standards of anatomy, alignment, and musculoskeletal strengthening. As an instructor, she emphasizes personalized guidance, respect for each body’s uniqueness, and the creation of a safe and supportive environment—where movement is cultivated with mindfulness and responds to each individual’s specific needs.
She studied Political Science and graduated from the Drama School of the National Theatre of Greece. She recently completed a master’s degree at the Faculty of Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The body is an integral part of theater, and through her involvement with theater, she developed a deep connection with movement and body care. For the past five years, she has been practicing Pilates consistently.
She is passionate about the body—every body—the connection between body and mind, body awareness through movement, and conscious, intentional motion.
What inspires her most is helping people connect more deeply with their bodies and, through that process, perhaps also with a deeper part of themselves.
Her first degree is in Chemical Engineering, but she fell in love with Pilates and chose to pursue it professionally. She initially tried Pilates to improve her posture and find relief from chronic pain caused by kyphosis. It worked — and, more importantly, it revealed to her that the human body is a unique, complex engine made up of many intrinsic parts that must work in harmony, with precision and intention.
That’s why, in her classes, and following the BASI principles, she focuses on identifying movement dysfunctions and works towards building healthier movement patterns that unlock the body’s full potential.
Daphne holds a BSc in Biomedical Science from Lancaster University and a Master’s degree in Nutrition from King’s College London. With a long-standing background in dance, she later trained in the BASI Pilates method, where she combines scientific insight with a strong respect for the body’s individuality. Her teaching is grounded in evidence-based, personalized guidance that honours each person’s unique physical needs.
She was drawn to the Pilates method precisely because it responds to the individual — it meets people where they are, adapting to both their everyday patterns and their deeper, long-term needs. Daphne is a strong advocate of the mind-body approach, viewing movement not as mechanical repetition, but as a conscious dialogue between awareness and form.
For her, Pilates aligns with today’s need for prevention and supports a broader vision of public health through movement and exercise.
In her teaching, she is especially interested in cultivating this approach: working with precision, intention, and presence — encouraging each mover be in conversation with their own body through safe movement
She is a graduate of the State School of Dance (KSOT). Since 2013, she has collaborated with many choreographers and directors as a performer. As a choreographer, she has created her own works and curated movement for numerous theatrical productions.
Her passion for movement and exercise led her to discover Pilates and incorporate it into her personal fitness regimen.
As a Pilates instructor, she is committed to deepening her knowledge in order to offer her students meaningful change in how they train and move—striving to share her love for movement with them.
